You are your biggest problem

June 18, 2013

Nobody really likes to hear that they are the problem.  But often it is true.  We are our own biggest problem.

You are your own biggest critic.  You are often the one setting the standard – not someone else.

You are your own biggest competitor.  You are usually only competing with yourself for success, recognition, achievement, etc.

You choose how to respond to things.  You teach people how to treat you.  You are the often your own problem.

I’m not saying I have solutions to this dilemma, and I definitely don’t want you adding to the voice in your head telling you to do better.  But it’s good to remember that while our tendency is to externalize our problems; when in fact, more frequently we are our own problem, aren’t we?

Sky Report at 10:00 – Really no clue, it was 1:30ish before I remembered I should have checked.  At that point, it was partly sunny and partly cloudy.
