Boots

October 19, 2013

I know  many people who long for and then celebrate the first day in the spring when they can put away their socks and start wearing sandals and flip flogs.  Many of these people commit to not wearing socks again for months to come.  While I love warm weather, painted toes, and flip flogs; I much happier the first fall day that I put on a pair of boots.  They open up a new world of wardrobe options.  They signal cooler days, warm sweaters and scarfs.  So while putting on sandals on a warm spring day is a wonderful thing, putting on boots on a cool fall day in my mind is even better.  And overall, isn’t it just great to live in a place where the climate means we get to experience both.
