You Can… I wish I had written it

December 5, 2013

Again today, I’m going to pass along the words of fellow-blogger Seth Godin.  In the past, I have done this to share a thought provoking idea or put my own twist on his thoughts.  However, today I’m doing it because I truly wish I had written it.  I could try to write about Nelson Mandela, but I couldn’t do him justice and what Seth has written seemed to sum it up better than I could.  So I’ll let you read it yourself.

A legacy of Mandela

Others can better write about Nelson Mandela’s impact on the world stage, on how he stood up for the dignity of all people and on how he changed our world.

For those that seek to make a change in the world, whether global or local, one lesson of his life is this:

You can.

You can make a difference.

You can stand up to insurmountable forces.

You can put up with far more than you think you can.

Your lever is far longer than you imagine it is, if you choose to use it.

If you don’t require the journey to be easy or comfortable or safe, you can change the world.

Sky Report at 10:00 – it was almost bright the blue sky was trying to poke through.

Yarn Strands – white and grey (today is another day when 3 strands would better reflect the sky as I would have added in blue)
